About Emily

Her story
Trained as an aeronautical engineer, Emily has always enjoyed working with her hands (gardening, felting, painting, sculpture, drawing, cooking, knitting, etc.), which she uses to unleash her creativity.
She grew up in Paris. But the city suffocated her. She dreamt of wide, quiet spaces, brimming with soothing nature and radiating invigorating, life-saving freedom.
In 2022, she settled outside the capital, not far from the forest of Gif-sur-Yvette. It was at this point that she began to blossom as a self-taught painter.
Her work
Moving from one art form to another feeds her thirst for creative freedom. She is particularly fond of painting, because the freedom offered by gradations, mixtures and combinations of colours appeals to her. That's why she turned to acrylic paint, which gives her greater freedom of expression.
In contact with nature, inspiration comes more spontaneously and naturally. What's more, her works are figurative and colourful. She really enjoys bringing colour into the viewer's life.
Her inquisitive nature means that she is always testing new techniques to enhance her ability to express herself on canvas.
‘Always search yourself, always learn, practise and colour to your heart's content!’
